High Speed Wireless Router

Why is my NETGEAR wireless router not giving me a WiFi signal?

I just got a NETGEAR wireless router after having a small bad one.. The wireless router is hooked up to the cable modem and the Internet works fine.. but i want to get on Xbox Live and on the Safari on my iPod Touch. Why is there no wifi even though its a Wireless Router?

1. Make sure the Wireless is switched on. Just because the router enables it doesn't mean it is on. For the XBox you'll have to have the Ethernet cable connected into the back of router via the XBox. Make sure on your iPod Touch that WiFi is enabled. I'm not too knowledgeable on these so I won't try too much to answer it.
2. you need to go into the routers setup page and enable it, enter either 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 im not sure which for your model into your browser and set it up
