Two wireless routers on the same network is it possible?
I have a linksys wrt150n wireless N router and a belkin wireless g router. Is there any way that i can hook up both of the routers to extend my wireless networks range. If so tell me how to do it step by step please.

- Yes.
- yes but is cheaper to get a booster if you just need more range
- label them router 1 and 2 run an ethernet wire between the routers. you will have ports on the back of each 1 2 3 4 and Wan put the wire from any number to anyother number. on router 2 the wan port will be empty router 1 set up as normal router 2 go to the routers setup page and change the routers ip address by 1 number ex if it is 192.168.1.1 then change it to 192.168.1.2 then disable DHCP and you should be all set. again on router 2 make sure the incoming wire from router 1 is connected to a port 1 - 4 NOT THE WAN PORT and you should be all set. you can connect them without wires but this can be tricky for beginners and can be a lot slower for clients on router 2
- You can do this, what you have to do is put the second router into bridge mode. The second router being the one that's not connected to your ISP's modem. This makes the second router pass all data along tot he main one unaltered, just extending the range. You'd need to read the manual for step by step instructions, this varies by brand and model. The problem in your case though is that your second router is only a G, while the first is an N. If you set the G router to bridge mode, one of two things is going to happen: Either the N router is going to gimp itself down to G mode, or else your computer is going to see them as two different wireless machines. You should experiment and see what happens.
