why cant my vtech broadband phone router work for my wii?

we bought this broadband phone with a router with it the router is needed for the phone but cant i access online for my wii hey 1st answerer it says its 5.8ghz so what do i do or whats wrong?

1. if it is a N router (there is A, B, G, G+, G+ MIMO, and N) it will not work with nintendo products, yet. if it is a A router up to G+ MIMO router, make sure that the settings allow it to be found.
