Can you use a broadband router even if you dont have broadband?

I have a linksys wireless-b broadband router model: befw11s4, and I was wondering if I can set up the software and secure the wlan without having a broadband connection.

1. Yes, you just won't have access to the internet on it. If you just want to network up your computers then this will do the job just fine
