I want to know if the Belkin High Speed Wireless Router - F5D7230-4 works on DSL internet? I want to buy a router that is cheap and works for windows vista. So i did some internet looking and found the Belkin High Speed Wireless Router - F5D7230-4 that cost $35. so now i want to know if it will work on my high speed DSL internet

I recently switched from SBC DSL to Comcast High Speed Internet but I am having problems getting the wireless router to work. However I dont have a BT HomeHub, nor do I want One! How do I get the various bits (software and hardware) to work together with my router/modem of choice a Belkin F5D7633-4? I think the root of the problem is that the BT provided config assumes a HomeHub (http://api.home...) Does any one know of an alternate config file better suited to my needs? Many thanks!

The overall goal is to have the Westell modem plugged into the router and the router with 2 more ethernet cables plugged into the pc and 360 and grant both simotanious internet access, allowing her to go back and forth between her PC and her gaming console. Again she does not have the Cd and i am unable to find her drivers so i need some way to do this, we have yet to test just Modem > Router > Xbox 360 so im not entirely sure but the router lights up normally from what ive heard so i was hoping someone would know how to fix this. It is not the same PC, it is a replacement to the XP PC Sorry for the partial Information re-post, for some reason it came up, anyway, it is not the same PC and i understand a fair amount about networking, traditional methods have not worked and Belkin's site doesnt mention wether it is compatible with vista or not based upon the model number which we are pretty sure is F5D6231-4.

(Netgear RangeMax Wireless-N Gigabit Router - RNW3500). 1) Is it true that if I plug a single device in to that router that works at 100megabit rather than gigabit speeds, the entire router speed drops down to 100mb? I have an older Lexmark printer with Ethernet that's plugged in, and the light shows me it's operating at 100mbit. Has that degraded filetransfers between my two gigabit PCs? 2) If I use a Wireless G Game Adapter for a device to connect via wifi to this router, will that also degrade the overall speed of the router due to the lower-speed wifi-connected device? I purchased a wireless netgear router. I also have Roadrunner High speed internet modem....? The roadrunner modem connects my computer to the internet just fine when connected directly to my computer-and xbox live directly when connected to that. However, when we connect the modem to the wireless router, we cannot connect to the internet nor xbox live. We have purchased 2 routers now and roadrunner tells me it is a netgear problem, and netgear tells me it is a roadrunner modem problem. Any insight??
